Mercy Mounthawk Camogie has seen an extremely successful year bringing back to the school no less than four winning trophies since September, two at junior level & two at senior level – U16.5 Munster C Cup 2023, Junior Cork Colleges C Shield 2023, Senior Kerry Schools Camogie League 2022 (Scollard Cup) & Senior Kerry Winners 2023 (Kerry Group Schools Camogie Blitz).Click here for full details of our Camogie teams 2023
Hurling
With a foothold in North Kerry and a number of teachers with roots in Cork on the staff, there has always been a keen interest in hurling in Mounthawk. Training sessions are well attended and the whir of a passing sliotar is a familiar sound during lunch break. Numerous students from the school have represented the Kerry Colleges team in the Harty Cup competition.
Senior Boys – Munster Finalists 2018 – 2019
On Friday the 14th December, our senior boy’s hurling team played in the Munster final against Tralee C.B.S. This thrilling all Tralee final saw the C.B.S. team come out on top. We are, however, very proud of the courage and skill displayed by our Senior Boys, most of whom will be with us for the next few years. We would like to thank them for their hard work over the year and we also recognise the efforts of Mr. Tadhg O Sullivan and Mr. Muiris Delaney in guiding them to their first Munster Senior Final.
